New Zealand Certificate

Health & Wellbeing

(Support Work)

This course is designed for those who

want to start a career in the health

and wellbeing industry. It teaches

transferable skills and knowledge that

are highly valued across the sector.

The programme covers the skills and

knowledge required to provide

person-centred support in the health

and wellbeing sectors.

International Entry Requirements:

  • 18 years of age at course start date
  • IELTS (Academic or General) 5.5 with no band lower than 5.0 (or NZQA approved equivalent)
  • 3 years of secondary school education or agreed equivalent
  • Have recent police vetting
  • Special circumstances considered at the discretion of the Department Head.

Food and Beverage

(Café and Bar)

This course will give you the skills to

“hit the ground running”. You will learn

practical skills such as making coffee

and cocktails, gain knowledge about

food safety, wine and beer (with an

emphasis on New Zealand wines).

This programme is designed for

people looking to enter the hospitality

industry with no prior knowledge or

experience. We take class trips to

restaurants, hotels, and food festivals

to see new trends in the industry.

Business

This course specialises in the

development, operation and

management of small businesses. It

helps students identify relevant

business opportunities and

understand its feasibility and viability

and develop business plans for

monitoring its effectiveness and

success.

Level 04
New Zealand Certificate

Business

This is an intensive course that

include two certificate qualifications

at Level 4 of the NZQF. It provides

students with skills to establish their

own business as well as work in and

for other existing businesses. The

course helps students to research

and identify New Zealand legal

structures and regulations and tools

available in order to develop business

plans and policies. It also fosters the

ability to analyse market

opportunities and identify and create

strategies for the management of

business and financial risks.

Travel

This programme is designed to give

you working knowledge of the travel

industry. Graduates will have the skills

and experience to get a job and start

contributing immediately to their

organisation. You will learn the

fundamentals of Amadeus, a

software that is widely used in the

industry, and VTO back office

accounting profile software. The

course covers selling and marketing

skills, customer service, world

geography & airline terminology.

Health and Wellbeing 

The aim of this program is to develop professional, ethical, and capable entry-level Support Workers who have a passion for empowering those with disabilities and mental health and addiction support needs and supporting people, family and/or whanau accessing social and community services. Graduates will benefit by gaining recognition of transferable skills and knowledge valued by the health and wellbeing sector and specific skills and knowledge required to perform duties as Support Workers.
