Our Story
English is the global language of business and the default language most often used when people of different languages come together. Worldwide School of English students are given an in-depth foundation in English so that they can gain a detailed understanding of not only the complexities of the language, but also of New Zealand, it’s culture and euphemisms, and how to apply this knowledge in business and social contexts. We have an exceptionally talented group of staff who provide their diverse perspectives to the study and understanding of English, assuring our students of a rich learning environment.
Our History
Worldwide School of English was established in 1989 and became Worldwide School of English in 1996, when it was purchased from the original owners by two of the school’s senior staff.
In 2014 Worldwide School of English moved to its current location at 80 Anzac Avenue. The school was sold to its current owners in 2021, and it shares the campus building with Crown Institute of Studies, another private school under the same ownership.
The two schools work together as partners to enhance each other’s educational services. This partnership with Crown offers Worldwide students easier access to further their education in such areas as business and tourism and travel.
Under the school’s new ownership, the school’s enrolments have almost doubled to over 400 students from 25-30 different nationalities.
