Activities
When navigating a new country, activities are more than just a fun break from studies—they’re a gateway to a richer, more fulfilling experience. At Worldwide School of English, each day is an adventure, with activities ranging from Yoga to sports designed to help students explore their new surroundings, build lasting friendships, and immerse themselves in local culture.
You are about to have fun
Our students can explore and enjoy their new surroundings through fun school activities. These activities include outdoor trips, and cultural events. They help students learn about New Zealand and make new friends.
Going on field trips, working with local students, and taking part in Māori traditions make the experience richer and help students feel more at home. These activities make their time in New Zealand both exciting and memorable.
At Worldwide School of English, students have a daily activity that includes a variety of options, from Yoga to sports. Each day, they can choose from activities that help them stay active, relax, and have fun.
Party On!
Our weekly pub-night is a great way for new students to mix and mingle with students from other classes and nationalities, enjoy local brews and play a game of pool. Not only that, but throughout the year Worldwide School of English organises several themed parties, giving everyone a chance to dress up for the occasion and even win some fabulous prizes.
Get Active!
Every week Worldwide School of English offers a vibrant and varied mix of activities to choose from. On offer are football, table tennis, badminton and basketball tournaments or other sporting events such as rock climbing to participate in. In addition to these, there are numerous indoor activities such as board games, dance classes, karaoke and yoga classes for anyone to enjoy.
Class Outings
Students are given the opportunity to take their education out of the classroom with visits to Auckland’s wonderful museums and art galleries, or attractions such as Kelly Tarlton’s Sea Life Aquarium. Other outings allow them to participate in local festivals and events, or visit sites such as Mission Bay or Devonport with their class.
Travel
To make the most of your time in New Zealand, you will undoubtedly have a bucket list of places you want to go. Every weekend there are amazing opportunities to explore areas outside of Auckland with our partner company’s tours, specially designed for international students.
Make new friends and together experience the movie magic of Hobbiton, the setting for Lord of the Rings, or the natural beauty of Cormomandel’s Cathedral Cove, as seen in the Chronicles of Narnia. Take in the Waitomo Caves or the beautiful Bay of Islands, or experience the rich and vibrant culture of Taupo and Rotorua, with their lakes, geothermal parks and hot springs.
